WHAT ARE LEVELS?
These are the different groups that our athletes train in. Each level has been designed to help our athletes by placing them with others that will challenge their skill level and push them further. All levels will work on much, much more than the name of the class. There will be an enormous amount of drills/skills that will lead up to the desired skill needed in order to move up to the next level.
The Little Explorers Academy is a gymnastics based movement and motion program for children ages 2-5. This comprehensive program offers excellent training in all aspects of balance, flexibility, strength, coordination, and lays a solid foundation for all sports and activities in which your child may participate. Fueled by exciting monthly themes and lovable characters, your child will go head over heels for our super instructors, fun equipment and so many “extras” along the way.

This level is also for all brand new tumblers! THERE IS NO PRIOR TRAINING REQUIRED. THIS CLASS IS DESIGNED FOR OLDER ATHLETES (6+).
The desired skill to move to level 2 is a backbend/bridge up kick over.
THIS IS OUR BACK/FRONT WALKOVER CLASS. YOUR ATHLETE MUST HAVE A BACKBEND/BRIDGE UP KICK OVER TO JOIN LEVEL 2.
The desired skill to move to level 3 is a back walkover.
THIS IS OUR BACK HANDSPRING CLASS. YOUR ATHLETE MUST HAVE A BACK/FRONT WALKOVER TO JOIN LEVEL 3 UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY GYM DIRECTOR, ERIN TAYLOR OR HEAD TUMBLING COACH, PEAIRE ALLISON.
The desired skill to move to level 3.5 is a standing back handspring & round off back handspring.
THS IS OUR BACK HANDSPRING+ CLASS. YOUR ATHLETE MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM A STANDING BACK HANDSPRING & ROUND OFF BACK HANDSPRING IN ORDER TO JOIN LEVEL 3.5. STUDENTS WILL WORK ON STANDING TWO BACK HANDSPRINGS & ROUND OFF SERIES IN THIS CLASS.
The desired skill to move to level 4 is standing two back handsprings & round off series back handspring.
THIS IS OUR TUCK CLASS (BACK & FRONT). ATHLETES MUST HAVE A STANDING BACK HANDSPRING, STANDING DOUBLE BACK HANDSPRING, & ROUNDOFF SERIES TO JOIN LEVEL 4.
The desired skill to move to level 5/6 is a round off back handspring back tuck
(with a good set), standing tuck, & standing back handspring back tuck.
